Practicum (6/22)

My alarm went off. I looked up and my net was still around me protecting me from malaria-infested mosquitoes. I rubbed my eyes and headed to the bathroom. I took a few deep breaths and entered the shower mentally preparing myself for the shockingly cold bucket bath water which I would soon pour on myself. As soon as I closed the door I heard a knock. It snapped me out of my daze and to my embarrassment I noticed that I was so worried about the cold water, I forgot to even fill my bucket. I opened the door and standing there was my homestay sister, probably 12 years old, holding a 1/4 way filled bucket of steaming hot water.

Thank the lord.

She put it down and fetched 2 more small buckets of cold water to mix in. Let me just tell you, the utter depression jumped up to sheer joy of this experience made today's shower easily the most enjoyable one of my life. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I was.

Refreshed and with a skip in my step, I met the other math teachers and we all headed to a local Junior High School (JHS) to observe a class being taught.
==================
Tonight I just finished my lesson plans. Tomorrow I will try my hand in my first class room for practicum. Practical real-time class experience where our instructors critique us after.

I'm excited. I'll tell you tomorrow how it goes
